For the duration of the Beacon Satellite Symposium 2019 at the UWM Conference Center free of charge Internet connection will be available for all BSS2019 participants.

Presentation

The maximum poster dimensions are width: 100cm, height: 130cm.

All oral presentations should be up to 15 minutes long.

 

Travel

Olsztyn is a beautiful, historic city located in notheastern Poland. It is easily reachable by plane, train, bus and car.

Travel by plane

Arriving by plane you can choose Chopin Airport in Warsaw, Modlin Airport near Warsaw, Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport or Olsztyn-Mazury Airport.

Travel by train

From the airports and most Polish and European cities you can also travel by train, which in Poland are conveniently priced. The tickets can be bought online at rozklad-pkp.pl.

E.G. Arriving from Chopin Airport in Warsaw please select From: Warszawa Okęcie and To: Olsztyn (either Główny or Zachodni). Such trip takes about 3:15-3:45h and costs (depending on type of the train) about 30-80 zł (7-19 EURO, 8-21 USD).

Airport shuttle

From all the airports there is convenient airport shuttle line directly to Olsztyn Kondratowicz Transport. They offer direct shuttle from an airport to selected address in Olsztyn, such trip takes about 3:15h. The cost for fare from Chopin Airport to Olsztyn is 100 zł (23.50 EURO, 26.50 USD). The departure hours from Chopin Airport to Olsztyn on 17th and 18th August are:

8:30, 10:00, 11:30, 13:30, 15:30, 19:00, 21:00, 23:50

The distinctive buses stop outside the departures section (top floor) of Chopin Airport in Area C (see pictures below) only for few minutes.

Transport in Olsztyn

Olsztyn has well-developed city bus and tram network as well as widespreaded taxi and city bike. Please note that Uber is not present in Olsztyn yet.
